Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer who possesses strong technical abilities as well as a passion for building great customer experiences. You must be comfortable taking initiative and working across teams in a relatively unstructured environment. Successful candidates are enthusiastic about customer experience, love to build large-scale distributed systems, and are capable of translating high-level, ambiguous business goals to working software solutions.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4+ year relevant work experience
3+ years professional experience in software development
Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl

Experience: 4 – 10years

Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing software in a high-performance, high-scalability environment.
Web front end experience with JavaScript and AJAX is a plus.
Relational Database design and SQL skills are preferred.
Can multi-task, quickly adapt to new development environments, learn new systems, create reliable/maintainable code, and find creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems.
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through launch.
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
