Chief Technical Officer

This is a senior leadership role. This profile will include multiple levels of management as a leader for this vertical. This role requires sharp, logical, smart and quick attitude around this vertical to scale the organization. Strong communication skills and perseverance to partner and scale business is a must. You will have to be energetic and prove as an individual to your team as a key engineering contributor and should have a successful history of participating on small-dedicated teams as a dependable member. You will have to delivering high quality products on time that meet or exceed the product requirements. You will have to work with, collaborate with, and integrate into the larger engineering team working from the same development plan and coordinating tasks and objectives effectively.

Primary Requirements

Strong professional software development experience developing mission-critical applications with at least 5-6 years in a technical leadership role.
You will direct a team of highly motivated developers and managers in the delivery of great products to our customers in an agile manner.
You will lead the full life-cycle development process from product definition/strategy, through design, development, test, release and sustenance for multiple products/components that are part of technology platform.
You will be responsible for formulating and executing a clear technical vision that is consistent with the company’s platform strategy.
You will hire, motivate and coach high-performance team(s) of engineers and develop engineers at an individual level.
Strong technical skills in LAMP,PHP, Apache, MySQL, XML, Java Script
Preference to individuals who have worked on search engine development and Google maps
In-depth Experience with:

Common web services protocols
Understanding of scalability considerations in designing high-performance servers
Hashing and caching
Memory management, threads, I/O performance optimization

Experience with database, storage, and/or messaging concepts
Ability to drive the problem resolution process from start to finish
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
Thrive in a cross functional team on high profile, critical projects with high reliability and performance requirements
Strong skills and proven record of designing and implementing multi-tier web solutions that are scalable, extensible and maintainable
Strong debugging/diagnostic and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and with a team
Experience with entire software development lifecycle including requirements, specification, documentation, testing, release and maintenance
Prior experience in fast-paced/agile environments with high quality execution and solid track record of building technology teams/processes and infrastructure

MS/CS/Ph. D

Experience 14 – 18yrs

Preferred Qualification

B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline from top tier engineering schools.
8 or more years of professional software development experience in an object-oriented language.
5 or more years of diverse experience in Java Server side product development.
3 or more years of experience using messaging systems, preferably JMS.
Experience developing services/daemons or middleware.
Experience designing APIs and SDKs.
Experience leading a team of technical leads in product development organization.
Experience developing server lifecycle, inter process interaction, load balancing, failover and HA features.
Experience developing logging, tracing, debugging features in distributed software.
Experience working in commercial/product software development environments preferred.
Master of multi-threaded computing and high competency with the Java concurrency libraries.
Experience developing systems with distributed architecture is desirable; (additional concepts like load balancing, failover, and distributed transactions are a big bonus).
Experience developing for a wide platform availability matrix (e.g. multiple application server/JVM/Database/OS combinations) is desirable.
Collaborative style; able to work with geographically dispersed teams.
Deep knowledge of core Java libraries and common design patterns.
Experience using light-weight and/or agile methods is desirable.
Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of Hadoop, CEP systems a big plus.
Able to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
Energetic and motivated self-starter.
Ability to think creatively
